Welcome to the admissions page for ALL undergraduate architecture programs!

This year, we are using one form for all applicants to the undergraduate majors. This includes the following options:

• BSAS Major 1: Students applying to the sophomore year of the Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies.
• BAAS Major 1: Students applying to the sophomore year of the Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies.
• BSAS Major 2: Students applying to the junior year of the Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies. (This track is for transfer students who have completed their DF and major 1 year coursework elsewhere)
• BAAS Major 2: Students applying to the junior year of the Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies. (This track is for transfer students who have completed their DF and major 1 year coursework elsewhere)

The Basics

1. Use the following link to access the Application Form. This is the same form for ALL applicants, regardless of the program to which you are applying.

2. Follow the prompts, and be sure to select the appropriate program(s) that you want to be considered for from the following options:

   • first-year Bachelor of SCIENCE in Architectural Studies ONLY
   • first-year Bachelor of ARTS in Architectural Studies ONLY
   • BOTH first-year Bachelor of ARTS and Bachelor of SCIENCE in Architectural Studies
   • second-year Bachelor of SCIENCE In Architectural Studies ONLY (for transfer students who have completed all Design Foundations and Major 1 year coursework only)
   • second-year Bachelor of ARTS in Architectural Studies ONLY (for transfer students who have completed all Design Foundations and Major 1 year coursework only)
   • BOTH second-year Bachelor of ARTS and Bachelor of SCIENCE in Architectural Studies (for transfer students who have completed all Design Foundations and Major 1 year coursework only)

3. Fill out the Application Form and attach the following files in PDF format:

   • Essay of Motivation
   • Resume
   • Portfolio
   • Unofficial Transcript (for transfer students only)

4. For the (2) Letters of Recommendation:

   • Give each of your recommenders a copy of this form with the appropriate information filled out.

   • YOU fill in the following on the first page of the document:

     • Student Name (your name)
     • Student ID Number (your U of U ID number)
     • I authorize (recommendation writer’s name)
     • The following information may be included in the recommendation letter (mark all that apply)
     • I waive/do not waive my right to view a copy of the letter

   • THEY fill out the second page of the document

   • Ask your recommendation letter writers to email the completed form and letter of recommendation directly to [email protected]. You do not need to send a separate copy.

5. For transfer students only, attach a copy of your unofficial transcript.
